![]() I tell people how old they are & how much money I spent on restoring them and I watch their jaws drop once the music starts playing. They like to be paired with a clean powerful amp, such as a NAD. With modern capacitors of tighter tolerances and better resistors, fiberglass, refoam.these things restored are no laughing joke. Great price and great service! Btw, I'm now restoring my 3rd pair of New Large Advents. I know I don’t, but I’ve decided to free up some space and try something a little different. Are you talking about? Buy the refoam kit from Rolf, I do. No one ever regrets buying a pair of original Large Advent Loudspeakers. As I said before, the only reason that I’m listing them separately is so that I can ship them separately. Anyone who places an order for just one speaker will have their order canceled. I wouldn’t personally go full blast with 200+ watts into them, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they took it for a short period. ![]() There’s not much information online on wattage capacity or specs, in general, for the Large Advent Loudspeaker, but I can safely say that I have pumped a lot of wattage through these without a hint of distortion. I’ve also tested many speakers and I can’t help but compare them to these. I have tested many amplifiers using these speakers and they’ve outperformed most in my lineup. These being some of the most advanced, and highest regarded speakers, it was a decade before another company created a speaker of comparable quality. Many, if not all, speaker manufacturers spent years (if not decades), trying to duplicate the sound that The Advent was creating. With these speakers having come out in 1976, they were way ahead of their time on sound quality. The faux walnut veneer is in very good condition with none missing, torn, or peeling. Both speakers are in great condition and have new grill cloth installed a couple months back, along with having had the the woofers re-foamed a few months back, and fully tested since with all music types and amplifiers, and both “fried egg tweeters” are in original and perfect condition. ![]() I’m listing them separately so that I can get two shipping labels and ship them separately so there’s less likelihood of them getting damaged in shipping. ![]() Both are in top condition and sound amazing. Each house their famous, and amazing sounding, 2” “fried egg” tweeter and 10” metal framed woofers. This listing is for one of my two Advent Loudspeakers (Large Advents) from 1976. ![]()
