![]() Part 2, Advanced: Adding Depth to Our 3D Image But let’s take it one step further, and add some depth to our image. You may decide to stop at this point, as this, by itself, is a halfway decent 3D effect. In other versions, simply return to your layers panel and pick a new active layer. Will return to your RGB in Photoshop CS5. It looks and functions very much like this one from Photoshop. GIMP users have a very similar tool, also in their Toolbox. You can set it to black by clicking the background swatch in the tools panel and changing it in the color options dialog. Look at the Javadocs or source code to learn how to do this. When moving your channel, you may want to make sure that your “background” color is black, as shown to the left. If you are a Dubois Anaglyph aficionado, you may want to enter your own transformation matrices instead of using the default values provided for you by Camera3D. This is the genius of Dubois anaglyphs and amber-blue filtering.Īlso notice that without glasses the end result looks more reasonable than the others do without glasses. Everything has a color of some kind that is close to the original. With amber-blue 3D Glasses the red cube looks redish-pink, the green cube looks green and the blue cube looks like a brownish-purple. This Generator can make amber-blue anaglyphs. The blue one doesn't look that great but it would look better with a less intense blue. With red-cyan 3D Glasses the red and green cubes look yellow. For this Generator, all colors are mapped to a shade of red or a shade of cyan.Īdd finishing touches to the result with the postDraw method: Start with the same right and left images:įilter each image. Camera3D implements the algorithm in a highly optimized way so it can be used in a real-time animation. The algorithm is explained in detail here. This is the most advanced Generator, based on a research paper written by Erik Dubois. ![]()
